Most members are aware that Fulham FC are proceeding with their planning application to build a jetty adjacent to their new stadium, in direct contravention of their original planning proposal. The jetty would primarily be used for boats bringing fans on match days, hosting an extended Clipper (Uber) Service and allowing for deliveries of supplies to the Club.

Given the depth of the river at low tide and the need for these vessels to turnaround, having disembarked their passengers / supplies, the jetty will have to extend c.80m into the river. The impact that this will have for recreational users sailors and rowers cannot be understated. Check out the picture and video below of a Clipper navigating the FFC waters at low tide.

Ranelagh SC are hosting a meeting on 24th March at 7pm, along with all the other local Clubs and Fleur Anderson, MP for Putney to unite in opposition to this proposal and ensure we do everything in our powers to stop it proceeding. Please join us if you can.
