Quick update – the race calendar has been corrected following an issue with races that were scheduled during the period covered by BST (27 March – 29 October) – the previous upload pushed all the start times out by 1 hour. All sorted now.

Well, the Downriver Series was concluded today. More of a damp squib than a Hamilton/Verstappen one race, winner takes all finale that we hoped for – the lack of wind put pay to that. Congratulations to Jack, Maury and Alex for taking the 1,2,3 podium spots.
Great turnout for first weekend in December – 13 boats on the start line, though somewhat less at the finish thanks to a tricky, gusty north westerly. Lot of devoted followers of the Win Hoff school of cold water swimming. Well done to Alex – great win.
Last weekend of the Club Solo and Laser Series – 4 races over the year with 1 discard. Great weekends sailing, weather held up with fair winds and thanks to the Thames Barrier, lake like conditions on Sunday. Many congratulations to Dennis (Solo) and Matt (Laser) for heading the final leader boards. Well done.
A total of 19 boats ventured out onto the Thames for the event. They were greeted with a gentle wind and intermittent sun on a warm day. The race Committee (of at least 20) decided to delay the start as we expected the wind to pick up and give everyone a run to approach the turning mark to be laid
Finally, sorted the results out for 11th September, the penultimate race of Summer Series – didn’t alter the overall positions for the series so congratulations to Richard W for taking top spot on the podium followed (not even remotely close) by Matt and James – well done Richard. Now for the Autumn Series – fingers crossed for fair winds, not
Congratulations to Renato, overall winner of the 2021 Midweek Series. Never really in doubt with a near perfect run of 6 victories and one 2nd place. Well done to Matt and Pietro for coming 2nd and 3rd respectively. A very healthy 35 competitors took part over the series.
