A big thank you to all those who turned up to our first ever open day – truthfully, we didn’t really know what to expect but it’s fair to say it was an unqualified success. The weather gods, having threatened to dampen proceedings this morning eventually relented, the sun shone (a bit) and the wind held up (just) and, most importantly, we had a great turn out. A special thank you to a few of you in particular:

• To all those new members who signed up – 9 of you – a BIG welcome, really look forward to seeing you at the Club and on the water soon!
• To Alison and family (and especially Holly 😊) – thank you for christening our new safety boats.To say that they’re an upgrade on what went before is an understatement, a great way to mark Christopher’s memory;
• Guillaume and Brian – for all the preparatory work leading up today but not forgetting everyone else who also helped, too many to mention!

And for any of you who couldn’t make it today (I know there’s a few of you) then don’t worry just turn up whenever it suits when we’re next racing, you’ll always be welcome.
